Workflows and Woodpiles

Morning routine. Coffee Culture Annex working on weekly review and daily planning. Updated template structure. Fiddled with email account views. Refined morning workflow documentation. Yard work—compost bin repair, firewood splitting. Hot tub maintenance. Exercise. Market of Choice. Sydne's house playing Space Base, port, stinky cheese. Assembled ldmrp03 hardware.

The morning at Coffee Culture Annex focused on refining the weekly review process. Template structures need periodic attention—the balance between comprehensive tracking and practical usability shifts over time. The morning workflow documentation continued to evolve, though MacOS authentication challenges persist. Google chronically tries to be smarter than you are and frequently fails, particularly when arranging views of multiple email accounts.

Physical work in the yard felt particularly satisfying. Repairing the compost bin restored function—not elegant, but working. Splitting firewood engaged different muscles, different thinking. The body's intelligence operates through repetition and attention, through planks and bird-dogs and curls, through hot tub maintenance and yard tasks. Three 45-second planks, fifteen bird-dogs, five stretches, fifteen curls. The benefits of consistent work are becoming tangible now.

Evening at Sydne and Dakota's house brought the familiar rhythms of family gathering. Deaken made a brief appearance before heading off to his own pursuits. Dakota's back injury has him sidelined—the frustration of forced rest evident but managed with characteristic steadiness. Dakota's job search stories ranged across the landscape of professional reinvention, the general reports of applications and interviews and waiting. Space Base on the table provided structure for conversation, port and stinky cheese punctuating the evening's flow. These gatherings matter—the rhythm of connection, the ease of family time without agenda, the ordinary updates that constitute shared life.

Coming home to finish assembling ldmrp03 hardware felt like the day closing properly: social connection followed by solitary tinkering, the oscillation between presence with others and focus alone. Installed Claude Code and pandoc for file type conversion—tools gathering for purposes not yet fully clear. The hardware awaits its operating system. The systems continue their slow accretion, each piece finding its place in the larger architecture of daily life.

Sunday demonstrated that renewal comes in multiple forms: process refinement, physical exertion, technical preparation, and the simple pleasure of port and games with family. The body strengthens through consistency, systems improve through attention, connection deepens through presence.
