Technical Foundations and Titanic Dreams

Morning routine. Session workflow optimization improvements. Read Emma's book chapter on puberty challenges. Automated the "set up tomorrow" workflow. Leland conversation about building Titanic in Minecraft. Minecraft progress connecting Port Alegre to Lelandhome. Yin yoga. Documentation refinement.

A day of automation breakthroughs and grandfather-grandson Minecraft planning

Events and activities that occurred on Wednesday, January 22, 2026

The morning began early at 3:30 am with workflow optimization work, focusing on the session initiation process. After achieving a substantial improvement, I returned to sleep until 8:30 am and proceeded through the standard morning routine.

The technical work continued with automating the "set up tomorrow" workflow, a significant step in the daily automation system. I also added Jim to the CHON topics distribution list and sent him a copy of my backup script. Email processing included sending the S-drive link to Tim and responding to Terrill's note about a user's experience coding with Claude.

I read a chapter in Emma's book Girl in the Mirror exploring the struggles of puberty, which provided valuable perspective on that developmental stage. The afternoon brought practical tasks including grocery list work and kitchen cleanup.

The highlight of the day was connecting with Leland at 4:00 pm. He's planning an ambitious Minecraft project: building a duplicate of the Titanic at deep slate deep. We watched a YouTube tutorial on how to construct the Titanic in Minecraft, and I helped him remotely install a communication app on his PC so we could coordinate better during builds.

The Minecraft session afterward proved productive. I made significant progress on the NTS link between Port Alegre and Lelandhome, advancing the transportation infrastructure for the server.

The evening brought 60 minutes of Yin yoga at Willamette Valley Power Yoga in Corvallis, providing necessary counterbalance to the day's desk work.

The day closed with documentation work on the automation systems, ensuring everything was properly captured for future reference. The technical groundwork laid today—particularly the automated workflow—should free up mental energy for more substantive work ahead.
