Photography critique, gymnastics, and an impromptu Block 15 gathering

The morning unfolded with Friday's journaling before diving into the AI environment—the ongoing work of building infrastructure that makes future work more efficient. Joey had spent the night after our Friday shoot, so I captured a few more images before she departed.

In a Claude session focused on photo critique, two images from recent shoots received careful analysis. The first, an ethereal silhouette with translucent fabric work illuminated by yellow gel lighting and red edge accents, went through title exploration for Model Society. After considering options that captured the interplay of light and form, "Incarnate" emerged as the final choice—the concept of light or spirit taking physical form felt right for the translucent, luminous quality of the image. The second image, a dynamic hair flip against a blue-purple palette with dramatic movement, prompted discussion about conceptual clarity versus technical execution. The energy and color contrast worked well, though the tight framing and an unclear clock element in the composition suggested areas for refinement.

Gymnastics
The OSU gymnastics meet against Southern Utah—a strong program—drew me out of the house. I walked and took the bus to Gill Coliseum, watching about two-thirds of the competition before making my way to Suds. Maddy was bartending, and pizza served as an early dinner before a Lyft carried me home.

The evening took an unexpected turn when Michael and Mary reached out—they were heading to Block 15. I attempted to catch the bus but encountered an oblivious driver, so an Uber became the backup plan. The reunion proved worth the transportation juggling, and they graciously gave me a ride home afterward. They recommended The Life of Chuck, a movie adaptation worth tracking down.

The day closed with an episode of Formal Logic, the mind settling into the structured rhythms of philosophical reasoning after a day that had ranged from creative collaboration to athletic spectacle to spontaneous social connection.
